As we kick off the new year and decide what we want our 2024 to look like, I’d like to share a personal goal/resolution that's close to my heart. This isn't about my role as a Development Coordinator; it's a part of my personal giving plan for the year and it just so happens that I want to give to an organization that I am blessed to also work for!
I've decided to commit to a new monthly donation of $64 for Ecuador this year. While it’s been an honor to support the Santiago Partnership in other small ways in the past years, this is one way I can ensure I am consistently contributing specifically to the Medical Clinic on a regular basis. It’s a Renewed Resolution for me! 😊
If some of you are like me, budgets are tight, and sacrifices must be made in order to give to the ministries we love. For me, a monthly commitment is a way to plan and prepare for, and commit to that giving ahead of time, so I ensure I meet my goal of contributing.
While I wouldn’t typically want to share publicly about my personal giving plans or habits, I thought this would be a great opportunity, just amongst us friends and supporters of the Santiago Partnership, to share so that I could also share a quick overview of what signing up looks like for someone brand new to a monthly commitment.
Here’s what the sign-up process looked like for me!
First: I selected the Initiative: 64 for Ecuador (first drop-down box on the right-hand side, selecting the second option!)
Second: I clicked the amount that pops up ($64!)
Third: In the drop-down box directly below amount I selected: “Recurring Monthly on the 20th”(the sixth option)
(Just a little side note here to say that that’s just the best date for me, there are several options for anyone who would like to select a different date!)
Fourth: I clicked next and was taken to the next screen where I filled out my billing details! I clicked Donate from there and I was all good to go! Resolution renewed!
Just one more important note about that billing details screen: Make sure you notice on the left hand side that there is an option to cover the credit card fees for your donation IF you would like to! Just be sure to uncheck that box if you would prefer not to! I wanted every penny of my $64 to go directly to the Santiago Partnership so I did choose to cover those fees which means my total each month will be $65.60.
Any of you want to join me in committing to 64 for Ecuador? I’d be so encouraged if you did!
