Summer School is in!

We know it's well into summer in the States, and we hope you are all enjoying pool parties and lake days and adventures and vacations. Here in Ecuador, we are just beginning our summer holiday which means it's time to kick off our summer initiative: SUMMER SCHOOL!

Maybe like our friend in the picture, "Alondra,” you don't love the idea of spending the summer learning OR maybe you're one of "those" geeks like some of us who LOVE learning or solving a problem any time of year!

To us, summer feels like a great time to learn and grow together.

So, here's our plan:

WHEN: June 25th - August 25th

WHAT: Let's learn more about Ecuador and little-known Santiago Partnership facts

WHERE: Right here on the blog, in your inbox, and also all the way down here in Ecuador

WHY: We are working to raise $5,000 to fund Summer School in Ecuador!

While we are enjoying summer school, the children and families in our programs can enjoy some summer fun (don't you worry we'll squeeze in some workshops and other "learning" for them too!)

$5,0000 will cover:

  1. Summer outings for the kids in the Home for At Risk Children = $2,000 (this will cover 4 or more adventures for them!)

2. Summer learning materials and workshop costs = $1,500

3. STUFF A BACKPACK. As the kids prepare for back to school, they’ll need to spend some this summer getting supplies = $1,500 (will cover stuffing kids’ backpacks)

Let's go to Summer School and have fun while we're doing it!

Stay tuned for fun facts, thoughtful questions, a request or two, and maybe even a quiz here and there.

We guarantee you won't flunk out! We won't leave you behind if you’re not that great at math or don’t really love to read, we just really hope you'll participate.

All it takes to succeed around here is a lot of enthusiasm and a little attention.
