Job Title: Director of Development
Location: Work-at-home
Organization: The Santiago Partnership
Reports to: The Santiago Partnership Executive Director
Part-time or Full-time: 10-40 hours per week
Your Role: The Director of Development will lead and enhance Santiago Partnership’s fundraising efforts to support the organization’s growing impact. This is a new position for Santiago Partnership and the Director of Development will have the opportunity to capitalize on existing strategies and to create new ones. The Director of Development will report to and work in partnership with the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the Santiago Partnership annual fundraising plan.
• Secure sustained annual financial support from individuals, organizations, and churches.
• Identify and apply for grants from foundations and corporations.
• Complete all necessary grant reporting and follow-up.
• Manage the utilization of Kindful (donor management software) and data entry and gift processing volunteers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with major and minor donors.
• Design and oversee fundraising events.
• Effectively present the mission of the Santiago Partnership to churches and small groups
• Produce, schedule, and deliver monthly newsletters, blog posts and social media posts (Facebook, Insta, Twitter and LinkedIn)
• Support Santiago Partnership donors through prompt communication when challenges are encountered
• Guide media companies in the creation of promotional videos, website design and content, social media content, etc.
• Manage updates to the website, Kindful, MailChimp and social media accounts. • Keep an up-to-date roster of monthly and annual financial commitments and pledges
• Technologically savvy – proficient in MS Excel, Word and Office
Qualifications:
• BA (required), MA (a plus)
• Five-plus years’ experience in fundraising and development
• Excellent organizational, managerial, and communication skills
• Ability to lead and direct others
• Goal oriented
• Motivated, self-starter who can work independently
• Excellent attention to detail
• Knows how to build a relationship via phone or email
• In love with the Santiago Partnership mission & ready to shout it from the rooftops
• Assertive (not aggressive)
• Event planning capabilities (a plus)
• Experience with grant writing (a plus)
• Spanish proficiency (a plus)
Compensation:
Pay will be commensurate with experience and part-time or full-time employment.
