2.)    REASON FOR REPORT

The purpose of this report is to publicize the development of the interventions given by the Foundation Adelanto Comunitario Ecuatoriano - FACE, with the families linked to the Family Support and Custody intervention program, carried out by the psychosocial care and facilitation unit. family since the beginning of its activities in February 2020.

3.)  BACKGROUND

The Foundation Adelanto Comunitario Ecuatoriano (FACE) was created on June 15, 1972 in the city of Quito, Pichincha province by decision and on behalf of the Church of the Evangelical Pact of Ecuador (IPEE) and the Church of the Pact of Sweden (SMK), and its statutes were approved by ministerial agreement No. 0257 of April 16, 1973, constituting itself as a diaconal arm of the IPEE. Since its creation, FACE has been executing different projects for the benefit of the Ecuadorian communities, such as: medical caravans; care in emergencies and comprehensive protection of the rights of the vulnerable population of the country.

Due to its social commitment to families within its projects, FACE provides care to the most vulnerable population, thus maintaining a population of one hundred and fifty girls, boys and adolescents, who are linked to the programs of progressive Eradication of Child Labor, to the Casa Hogar and in the modalities of Support and Family Custody, thus in order to develop a comprehensive work our institution maintains its objective of ¨ guaranteeing family and community coexistence, as well as comprehensive care of children and adolescents in a situation vulnerability.

In such a sense that the beneficiary population are boys, girls and adolescents from birth to the age of majority, whose nuclear family environment constitutes a threat, risk and / or violation of their rights and that, through an administrative resolution of the authority that granted the measure of protection.

4. GENERAL OBJECTIVE

●      Report on the direct and indirect impact of the Family Support and Custody Intervention Program, by evaluating and assessing the impact generated on families, in relation to the areas served.

SPECIFIC GOAL

●      Evidence of the work done in the areas of Psychology, Social Work and Family Facilitation.

●      Generate statistical data that allow an evaluation of the scope of the project, in addition to highlighting the areas to be strengthened.

5. DESCRIPTION OF THE POPULATION SERVED

The population served within the project is identified as Mestizo and Indigenous, however, due to the characteristics of Cayambe, there is a great affinity of the population with the ancestral worldview of the Kayambi People.

Thus, depending on the work developed with the families, we proceed to present the statistics given during the years of intervention.

ANALYSIS: Within the research carried out with families, it has been observed that risk situations mostly occur within the nuclear home of infants; This being the starting point of FACE interventions, within the protection of the rights of children and adolescents.

ANALYSIS: Within the population at risk, it has been observed that it is confirmed mostly by children under twelve years of age; increasing the factors that influence the institutionalization of infants.

ANALYSIS: Within the Family Support and Custody Intervention Program, it has been observed that the rural population, located in the Parish of Cangahua, in communities such as Guachala, San Vicente Alto, Carrera, Pisambilla, Pambamarca, Lot 2 and 4, La Libertad and Pucará, among others; reflect that currently, the children residing in this sector and their families have adopted behaviors that have put the physical and emotional integrity of their sons and daughters at risk. Thus, it is possible to see that, despite the years, the new generations have changed their way of seeing their cultural identity, being adapted or changed.

ANALYSIS: The main causes of admission continue to be linked to intra-family conflicts that trigger situations of negligence on the part of biological parents and it is in this process that the risk factors that make families guarantors or not of the rights of children can be perceived. and adolescents; Furthermore, when analyzing the intergenerational processes of each family, it is possible to perceive the psychosocial problems that occur in their environments and establish individual intervention strategies that allow the guarantee of the rights of our beneficiaries.

ANALYSIS: Within the work carried out with the families, it was sought to comprehensively address their needs, in addition to ensuring the promotion of the enjoyment of their rights; both of the children and their biological relatives; Thus, strategic ties were generated with cantonal representatives of the Ministry of Health, a fact that allowed the development of medical caravans, with multiple services aimed at providing free care to the population.

ANALYSIS: Thanks to the care generated at the level of physical and dental health, it was possible to know that despite the fact that there have been medical complications at the level of gastritis and muscle pain in adults, as well as significant rates of malnutrition, low weight and height, in NNA, linked to intervention programs for support and family custody; a fact that has established clear intervention guidelines, within families, at the level of nutrition and food; this in order to contribute positively to the development of infants; in addition to generating responsibilities and roles in their legal representatives.

On the other hand, it could be observed that dental care continues to be neglected in most cases, which is why it is recommended to encourage proper tooth brushing and period control of cavities; This is done through workshops given to parents in relation to the visits carried out.

ANALYSIS: Due to the interventions developed with the families and in relation to the specific needs of girls, boys and adolescents, based on the comprehensive protection of their rights; the Fundación Adelanto Comunitario Ecuatoriano FACE, has remained close to families, through the delivery of various kits that have sought to protect the rights of people in vulnerable situations, thus strengthening the participation of families and influencing the transformation social of the same. Additionally, it has been possible to promote the support of both public and private organizations in order to better contribute to families in vulnerable situations.

ANALYSIS: Within the Family Custody and Support Intervention Program, it has been observed that the rural population, located in the Parish of Cangahua, in communities such as Guachala, San Vicente Alto, Carrera, Pisambilla, Pambamarca, Lot 2 and 4, La Libertad and Pucará, among others; reflect that currently, the children residing in this sector and their families have adopted behaviors that have put the physical and emotional integrity of their sons and daughters at risk. On the other hand, the cases that have been closed have made it possible to provide greater coverage to other children at risk, in addition the care unit has strengthened work with reinserted families, verifying the guarantee of the rights of infants in a situation of autonomy .

CONCLUSIONS:

Based on the analysis of the cases, it can be seen that the sector that shows the highest rates of violation of rights is the rural sector, thus it is also evident that violation does not only refer to mistreatment but to neglect of rights such as health, which Due to the type of diagnosis, it corresponds to a long process of violation and neglect of care and protection.

The process of restructuring family dynamics takes up an average time of one year of intervention, in which, although it is true, not all risk factors are eliminated if the level of incidence is attenuated, such as unhealthy environments that correspond to violating public policies or media.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Maintain family empowerment processes through micro-entrepreneurship processes, which allow family empowerment.
