CASA HOGAR “EMANUEL”
IMPACT OF THE CASA HOGAR “EMANUEL”
1. INFORMATION:
Project: Foster Care Center - Casa Hogar “Emanuel”
Period: From April 2017 to October 2020
Location: Los Andes & Patricio Romero Street at Juan Montalvo parish, Cayambe canton.
Date of submission of report: October 05, 2020
The Casa Hogar Emanuel has been working in favor of the most vulnerable children and adolescents since 2017 it has been almost 4 years of arduous labor of restoring rights to children and adolescents, serving the population of Cayambe, its province Pichincha, and the entire nation. As a result of this challenging work around 80 children and adolescents have been cared for at the Foster Care Center from different backgrounds, most of them “mixed race” and children between 0 - 12 years old, the majority of served children and adolescents are female. The main reasons they enter the institution is the neglect in child care and child abuse from their parents or relatives who had custody. The staff of Casa Hogar Emanuel, known as “aunts” and “uncles” have become the family of children who have had the right of having a loving family stolen from them, taking all of the responsibility for their education, discipline, meals, their well-being, and searching for a better future and restoring their lives.
The following charts explain the results of the work from 2017 to 2020.
